i've been so busy lately huffing epoxy and gluing stuff to things that i've neglected to properly thank jena (of modish) and meighan (of my love for you...) for mentioning me in their awesome blogs. 

jena featured my humble art space and meighan said some awfully nice things about my art and got the word out about my show at brown bear (which, btw, is up until march 27th).   

thank you both.  you both do amazing work in the blog-o-sphere, supporting artists and independent crafty-people.  and i truly, truly appreciate your kind words and your support. 

cut & paste - opening this saturday

CUT & PASTE at Brown Bear, opening party Saturday 2/23/08, 5-8 pm.

i just hung my work up at brown bear for a show called cut and paste, new works from Raquel R., Paige L., Annie W. and myself.

and, btw, my contribution to the show (34 pieces, i think) is 99% brand new work.  seriously.  i've been working so hard, i haven't slept in the last three weeks.  i see snowflakes in my peripheral vision and i've been having some awesome and mind-blowing conversations with my lamp.  but i promise to rest up for the next two days, so i should be decrazified just in time for the opening party this saturday.  stop by and say hello!

stella's got a brand new rack

i ordered a bike rack from CETMAracks a little while ago and it just arrived today.  it is amazing...sturdy, stylish and functional.  it's also foxy, which is good because my bicycle is somewhat superficial.  seriously, she refuses to wear fenders.  she says they make her look fat.  and lastly, it's badass. and i need as much badass support as i can get because, tragically, i suffer from badass deficit disorder.  without proper treatment, i can't even startle a chihuahua. 

anyway, this feels so so so much better than my last basket.  not only is it about a scrillion times stronger, it keeps the weight lower which makes for a smoother, safer ride.  trust me, it's scientific.

in closing, i strongly encourage every bicyclist to ditch his or her sexy, but ultimately orthopedic injury inducing messenger bag and invest in a CETMArack.  it's a scientifically proven fact that this rack will make your life more awesome.

OK, fine.  you can keep the bag.  just carry the heavy stuff up front.
